Educação para a Cidadania Global

Global Schools. This educational tool consists of a set of didactic activities aiming at integrating Global Citizenship Education (GCE) objectives into the curricula, showing how these themes can be articulated with the different areas of knowledge and thus give rise to an educational practice oriented to training global citizens. It includes 9 learning units within the sub-thematic areas of Development, Interdependences and Globalisation, Poverty and Inequalities, and Social Justice that can be used in the School subjects of Language (Portuguese), Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences

It brings together the themes of Global Education and Learning (GEL), Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and some approaches to do GEL and the SDGs in practice in schools: Participatory Education, Co-teaching and Pedagogical and Collaborative Leadership.

Get Up! Alterações Climáticas is a Teaching and Learning Unit (TLU) that focus on a complex issue related to Education for Global Citizenship (Climate Changes), through a transdisciplinary approach using a number of learning tools. It consists of an educational path that can stimulate scholastic knowledge as well as skills to help students and teachers deal with the current and future challenges related to climate changes. It contains a brief introduction about the TLU topics, detailed activities for teachers to introduce the mentioned topics and using group dynamics and non-formal techniques.

Igualdade de Género is a Teaching and Learning Unit (TLU) that focus on one complex issue related to Education for Global Citizenship (Gender Inequalities) through a transdisciplinary approach using a number of learning tools.
